Port Matilda, Pennsylvania, June 12, 2012 - QBC Diagnostics announced today that it will be exhibiting at the 2012 meeting of the Armed Forces Operational Medicine Symposium (AFOMS) in Jacksonville, Florida, from June 27-28. QBC has recently been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 66 Contract for Scientific Equipment and Services. A number of products from the GSA contract will be displayed at the event, including its QBC STAR Centrifugal Hematology System and ParaLens Advance Microscope Attachment.

The QBC STAR provides a 9-parameter complete blood count through its unique dry hematology approach, which eliminates the need for liquid reagents in the system. Because of this unique technology, the STAR is an ideal diagnostic instrument for use in remote locations experienced by armed forces around the globe. The United States Navy has installed over 250 STAR analyzers on their surface and submarine vessels since August of 2010.

QBC also boasts a line of fluorescence microscopy products, including the ParaLens Advance LED fluorescence microscope attachment, designed to turn any conventional compound light microscope into a fluorescent microscope in an easy and affordable manner.

QBC Diagnostics can be found at Booth 27 during the event.
