Port Matilda, Pennsylvania, November 1, 2012 - QBC Diagnostics, a global manufacturer of hematology and infectious disease diagnostic equipment, announced today that they will be exhibiting at the MEDICA 2012 World Forum for Medicine International Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, from November 14-17.

With over 4,300 exhibitors and more than 100,000 projected visitors, MEDICA is the world's largest gathering of the medical device manufacturers. This year will mark QBC Diagnostics' 8th consecutive appearance at MEDICA, and will display a wide variety of new and improved analytical instruments for the point-of-care environment. QBC Diagnostics hematology analyzers, including the QBC STAR and Autoread Plus, utilize a patented dry hematology approach which allows for unmatched flexibility and ease of use. With recent improvements to the QBC STAR, the instrument now boasts universal network connectivity as well as improved electronics in a light and compact design.

QBC Diagnostics will also display their complete range of fluorescence microscopy products, which includes the QBC ParaLens Advance and the new QBC FM Scan microscope camera attachment. When these two products are combined together, users can quickly convert any standard light microscope into an affordable fluorescence microscope, and easily record high quality digital micrographs in either video or still capture form. To complement the ParaLens Advance, QBC has also developed an array of diagnostics tests for Malaria and Tuberculosis detection. The F.A.S.T. Malaria Stain and QBC Malaria Test aid in rapid detection of malaria. In the fight against tuberculosis, QBC Diagnostics has created the F.A.S.T. AFB Kit, which can stain smears in 3 minutes, as well as the revolutionary SureFocus Microscope slide to help users easily make the switch to fluorescence microscopy.

QBC Diagnostics can be found in Exhibit Hall #3 at Booth #D35-8 during MEDICA. To find QBC Diagnostics on the official MEDICA floor map, or to add the company to your MEDICA MyOrganizer calendar, please click here.
